September 2022 Debt Payoff Update
When I first decided to share our debt journey I was embarrassed and did not want to share too many details about each debt. However, as I try to share our process I have found it hard to format my blogs in an easy-to-explain format. Please bare with me while I try to find the best way to present our journey.
This is the first time I am sharing the individual accounts in each category. Medical Debt consents of dental, occupational therapy, and surgery on my arm. I was in occupational therapy for ten months. Misc. debt is our 401K loan we took out in 2020. We are paying three different collection agencies. Credit Collection Bureau is medical debt for my children. My ex-husband use to fight with me about paying for his half and I could not always pay my half so bills would get sent to collections. Crook County Medical is ambulance ride and emergency room bills from my accident. Not having insurance got expensive. I knew I did not want to fall behind on paying the providers who were taking of care of me after the surgery so I chose to let the bills for Crook County Medical go to collections. Both my husband and I have accounts at Collection Professional. Thesse mostly consists of medical debts. My ex-husband has made a few payments towards debt that is from the children. For my student loans I have a private loan I have been slowly paying on.
